VIRTUAL CARE APPOINTMENTS
If you are worried about coming in for your appointment, re-check or prescription refill, consider using our online telemedicine/telehealth solution: Airvet. Through the Airvet app, you can connect via your cell phone or iPad with our veterinarians to have a virtual appointment from the comfort of your home. We will be able to answer questions and work with you to determine if your questions and pet’s condition can be addressed through a chat or if it would be better taken care of in person.
The CDC is recommending social distancing and we have to do our part to keep you and our team safe. All appointments will be curbside. In case of extenuating circumstances, our staff will provide directions for you. Below is an online form that you will need to complete and submit in order for us to see your pet.
Please complete and submit this form prior to your appointment. Your pet will be brought into the clinic by a team member, the doctor will do an exam and any questions/conversations will be by phone. Please have a cell phone ready and the number of that phone on the form. Payment for services will be curbside as well and expected at the time of service. Over the phone credit card payments are preferred.
Be sure your dog is attached to the leash and small animals/cats are secure in their carriers.
On May 13, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court overturned the Governor’s Stay At Home order which means that all services are now available at Appanasha Pet Clinic. We are open and here for your pets! Please note that we will continue to be offering curbside and drop-off appointments only (clients will be permitted inside of the building for scheduled euthanasia).
Our number one priority remains the health and safety of your pets, you, and our staff. We are also continuing to take extraordinary precautions to ensure appropriate social distancing at all times for the health and safety of our clients and team members including:
- Curbside & drop-off appointments– please call 920-725-8307 to schedule your appointment today.
- Virtual care appointments are now available via Airvet. You can download the mobile application here: Download the AirVet app
- Consistent cleaning & disinfecting of all frequently touched surfaces.
- All of our team members have been instructed to follow the latest CDC guidelines regarding medical care.
- All payments and paperwork will be taken electronically or over the phone.
- If you need to pick up any medications or food, we have instituted a “no-contact” pick-up. Please call ahead and pay over the phone and we will have a team member leave in a designated place outside the building OR bring it to your car. We respectfully ask that you not enter the hospital at this time for medication/food pick-ups.
- Please note: If you or someone in your household has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing) OR has been exposed to someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, please let us know BEFORE coming to the clinic. If your pet is in immediate need of care, please have a friend or family member transport your pet to the clinic. We are prepared to take additional necessary precautions for handling these situations so we can be here for you and your pet during these difficult times.
We look forward to caring for your pet!
Reopening Plans – Dated May 10th, 2021
Dear Valued APC Family and Friends,
The past year has been especially challenging with COVID-19. We appreciate all your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate new processes to best serve your pets and protect you, and our staff. At this time, we are happy to announce that we will be making some adjustments to our current protocols and are working on a phased reopening of the clinic. We will continue to follow safety guidelines and monitor COVID-19 numbers in the communities we serve.
Beginning Tuesday, May 25th we will begin allowing clients in the building for appointments. At this time, we will only be allowing ONE client per appointment for routine appointments. This includes minors not being allowed inside with their parent at this time. We will not be making any changes to appointments scheduled with a technician, surgical appointments and medication and/or food pick-up at this time.
We will have some new protocols in place to make the transition back inside a smooth process for everyone. Our staff will outline those protocols with you when scheduling and confirming your appointments, but we want to share them with you now as well, so you know what to expect and anticipate. When you schedule an appointment, we will ask about your preference for an in-clinic versus curbside appointment.
When you arrive at the clinic for your appointment: Call us and let us know you are here. A team member will confirm if you would like to come inside for your appointment or would prefer to utilize our curbside service. They will also ask for the best callback number to reach you at, where you are parked and COVID screening questions. Please do NOT enter the building without prior direction from one of our team members. Our lobby will remain closed at this time.
When we are ready to begin your appointment, a team member will make contact at the number provided and either meet you in the vestibule for a hand off or escort you directly to an exam room if you are coming inside for your appointment.
You will be required to wear a mask. We are following CDC guidelines therefore handkerchiefs and gaiters are not acceptable masks. The CDC recommends material that has two or more layers. We will provide a disposable mask if you do not have one. Your mask will also need to cover both your nose and mouth at all times.
We appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding as we continue to reopen our clinic and start to welcome clients back inside. Behind the scenes we have been converting from paper to digital medical records for all of our patients and our staff has been learning a lot of new processes in an effort to better serve you and your pets. Our auto-attendant message on our phone system will also be updated when we reopen, to better route calls to the appropriate staff member, so please listen to the entire message and pick the appropriate option.
We are looking forward to welcoming clients back inside on May 25th. We have missed seeing you all face to face over the last year. The safety of our clients, team members and your pet’s health are always our priority. We plan to continue to reevaluate protocols and reopen the clinic in phases. If you have any questions about these changes, please give us a call.
Thank you, The Appanasha Team
